Team Jefferson sponsors and friends,

I’ve been travelling back east with Tommy Jr and catching up on some post-race logistics. Mike Woosley has been keeping the team communication dispatches fresh, but I also wanted to personally thank you all very much for your support…both pre-race and post-race. Your support and involvement across the board is what made Team Jefferson a competitive entity.

Hundreds of the worlds top notch robotics organizations and institutions have vied to participate in these events pouring millions of dollars and person-hours into the effort. We were one of 35 such collaborations invited to participate in the national qualifying events and on an budget which highlights the team’s commercial focus and viability. Much attention and awareness of our team was garnered by commercial/defense organizations as well as by the media…and based on resulting conversations….the contrast/comparisons are not lost on them.

As soon as I am able…I plan to provide a more detailed de-briefing email to you all on the project/race-results. But I wanted to, while I have connectivity on the road, convey my own and the team’s sincerest thanks. We plan to and will continue to deliver value to our sponsors and friends. For us, as you know, the race is not the end event…it’s only part of the journey. The Discovery Channel episode, commercial work, additional research, and additional media events are all part of the mix.
